Carved boxwood bead of a curled dragon inspired by the antique Japanese Ojime. The dragon's face has nice eyes and open eyes Both sides are carved making this bead reversible. This bead measure 32.9mm wide by 32.5mm tall by 10.9mm thick. It is drilled front to back at top center. This boxwood bead has a very light varnish so that it has a light beige color. Both sides of the bead are shown, but this item is for one bead.
Ojime are the sliding beads on the cord of the Inro Box. Geishas carried an Inro Box to hold their money and personal necessities. An Ojime bead is a Japanese bead or geisha bead that was used with an inro box and a netsuke bead.
