Collection: Fire Agate
Fire Agate is also known as Mexican Fire Agate.
Fire Agate properties:
Fire Agate is only found in central and northern Mexico, and sometimes in Southern California, Arizona and New Mexico. It formed 24 to 36 millions years ago during the Tertiary Period when waters high in silica and iron oxide repeatedly filled the cracks and bubbles in the rocks surrounding the active volcanoes.
Real Fire Agate has specks of iridescent colors in the same way opal does, but it is much harder than opal. The iridescence is due to the repetitive layers of silica and iron oxide that refract and allow light to pass through the crystal's infrastructure.
Fire Agate is a master healing mineral. It enhances flower essences because both work with the heart chakra.
