These beautiful, heart-shaped seeds are from the Red Sandalwood Tree (adenanthera pavonina). They are referred to as Circassian Seeds in India and Britain, and called "Jumbles" in the Caribbean.
The strand measures 35 inches long, not including the tie. Each seed is approximately 6mm by 9mm and the hole is .5mm in diameter.
