8mm Indian Rosewood Mala with Orange Silk Tassel measures 34 inches long.

Indian Rosewood is also known as Sheesham or Sheesham Wood.  A mala is a strand of 108 beads used as prayer beads, each bead marking the repetition of a mantra or prayer.  This mala is made from Sheesham wood prayer beads also known as Indian Rosewood wooden prayer beads.

Indian Rosewood is an excellent choice for a mala as its inherent nature is soothing, tranquilizing and gentle.  Rosewood essential oil is used to sooth the skin as it makes the skin more elastic and regenerates the tissue.  It is also recommended for candida, nausea, and anti-aging regimes. 

Sheesham - Dalbergia sissoo or Indian Rosewood is a deciduous rosewood tree native to the Indian Subcontinent and Southern Iran. Also known as Sisu, Tahli, Tali, Jag or Irugudujava.

Each bead measures between 8.3 to 8.7mm with a 1 mm hole drilled through the center.  The string is not knotted between each bead.
