Music is played in the Hindu temples as an offering of a gift to the gods.
This is an 18 inch tall plaster statue of a male temple musician from India wearing a lungi (sarong), silver necklaces, silver bangles, silver earrings and an orange flowered garland. He is also wearing a tiered cap that has been painted silver on the front side. His face is very sweet and refined.
Weighs 2 pounds, 13 ounces.
In the fourth photo, you can see the difference in size more easily between this statue and the smaller, 12 inch statue that we also offer.
