Frog Boxwood Ojime Bead
Hand-carved boxwood ojime bead inspired by the antique Japanese Ojime. Ojime beads are the sliding beads on the cord of the Inro Box. Geishas carried an Inro Box to hold their money and personal necessities.
A contemporary Chinese Master-Carver (not a child) carved this Frog bead. A carving such as this took up to four hours to make. This ojime bead is an unbelievable value for such craftsmanship.
Frog Boxwood Ojime Bead is 1.18 inches wide and .59 inch high and vertically-drilled.
