Black Onyx stone meaning:
It's more about the meaning of onyx than it is about black onyx meaning. The name Onyx comes a Greek word that means a fingernail or a claw. This is because onyx forms in an array of colors, one of the most common being layers of golden tan and light, medium and dark brown hues that looks like flesh tones with layers of white that look like white fingernail on top of layers so that it looks like fingers.

Crystals or minerals can be excavated the old-fashioned way with an ax and a pick or they can be mined using dynamite. Dynamite is faster and cheaper, but it creates a lot of fractures in the stones. You can often tell just by looking at the stone which way they used. These pieces were excavated by pick.
There is a way to test the power of the vibration of the crystal through kinesiology. The kinesiologist first tests a healthy individual without the crystal. Then he or she retests the individual while that individual is holding the crystal at their solar plexus level.
