This 2 inch (53mm) sphere is natural Russian Eudialyte within a matrix stone. It weighs 7.6 ounces. The Eudialyte is the cherry red crystal. By itself, Eudialyte is somewhat fragile. The white mineral is alkali feldspar and the black is aegirine.
Eudialyte reacts to ultra-violet light. You can see this in the photos.
A somewhat rare crystal mined in the Kola Peninsula in Russia. Even more rare is the magnificent coloring of this specimen.
