Saturn meaning:

The television show Third Rock from the Sun makes it easy to remember that Earth is the third planet out from the Sun.  Saturn is the sixth planet out from the Sun

Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system and Saturn is the second biggest.  It's about 9-1/2 times the size of Earth, but it is a gas giant and only an eighth as dense.  Saturday was named after the planet Saturn.  It's not really silver in color; it is yellow.  That's because its upper atmosphere is ammonia.  It is a very windy planet like Neptune.

In astrology, Saturn rules so much.  It was the furthest planet seen by the ancients.  Here is an alphabetical list of some of the things Saturn rules: age, age 57 to 70, ambition, archaeology, architects, barriers, basements, beards, black, blindfold, blizzard, blood clot, bones, boredom, bottles, boulders, brakes, bricks, burrowing animals and reptiles, calendars, camels, carpenters, career, castles, ceramics, chiropractors, clay, clocks, clowns, coal, cold, common sense, compression, concentration, concrete, consolidation, contraction, cynics, dams, dark brown, darkness, deafness, density, dirt, discount, donkeys, dryness, duty, earth, economy, fame, fasting, father, fatigue, fear, fence, fields, formation, fossils, foundation, gall bladder, gates, ghetto, glacier, goats, granite, grave, gray, grief, ground, hair, handcuffs, hardware, hemp, hibernation, hindsight, history, holly, hooks, horns, horror, humility, ice, iceberg, ice cream, inflexibility, ink, integrity, introverts, joints, junk, knees, land, leanness, leather, math, Middle Ages, minerals, monasteries, moss, mummies, nightshades, oaths, obedience, obstacles, ointment, old people, onyx, orthopedics, pain, pansies, patience, perseverance, persimmons, petrified wood, pickles, pigs, pinching, pine trees, plaster, poise, poison ivy and oak, police, popes, poplar trees, posterity, priests, prunes, public buildings, pyramids, quarantines, quiet, quince trees, recession, reduction, refrigerator, regression, rejection, reliability, repression, reservoir, responsibility, retreat, roots, ruins, saddles, salt, sand, seclusion, seniors, shade, shawls, shelter, shores, shrinkage, sighing, silence, simplicity, skeleton, skeptics, skin, slowness, smallness, snow, sobriety, solids, spinach, spleen, stamping, statues, steadfastness, sterilization, stiffness, stillness, structures, studiousness, subway, sulphur, summaries, suppression, tailor, tar, tardiness, tattoos, taxidermy, teeth, temples, tenacity, tendons, tension, thickening, thin people, thoroughness, tightness, tile, time, tractors, tradition, tranquility, trenches trials, tunnels, twilight, underneath, valleys, vinegar, viscosity, vocation, vows, waterfalls, wells, winter, yams, and yesterday.
