The Prayer
On my knees, I humbly ask for your assistance in helping me attain my goal of bowling the perfect game. Spare me the indignity of gutter balls and unattainable splits. Protect me from “ringers” who pretend they have no bowling skill and cheating scorekeepers. Allow me winning form, make me always pick up my spares, and may my score always be above 260. And with the great power of your helping hands, guide my ball to that STRIKE each and EVERY time. Amen.
Directions for Use
Place candle on score console at bowling alley and light. Repeat prayer once for every STRIKE. Repeat prayer three times if a split occurs. In tournament play or other extreme cases, repeat prayer continuously and contemplate taking up checkers. Good luck!
