December birthstone bracelet with a round, sterling silver lotus charm.  December is the twelfth month and final month of the year in the Julian calendar and has 31 days along with January, March, May, July, August and October.

In the northern hemisphere, December is the first month of winter and the first month of summer in the southern hemisphere.  The name December is from the Latin word, decem, which means ten because it was originally the tenth month.

Treated Turquoise Stone meaning:

The turquoise in this bracelet is real turquoise, but please note that it has been stabilized to make it harder and dyed to deepen the color.  Turquoise is a somewhat soft stone.  It has become a common practice to soak it in colored resin so that it is sturdy and to enhance the color.  It is still genuine turquoise, but not natural turquoise.  It is more durable and polishes to a nice luster.

Twenty round 8mm Turquoise beads and two round 8mm frosted Amethyst beads, two silver spacers and a 11.5mm wide lotus charm on super-strong elastic.  6.75 inch circumference.

Turquoise often appears to a shaman or seer to be aware of a message to follow.

Turquoise Stone benefits:

Wearing Turquoise encourages confidence to follow one's heart with conviction.  Consequently, the owner lives a life of honor.

If you need a more orderly or methodical lifestyle, keep your turquoise jewelry out on display.

Wear your bracelet to business meeting to insure that you are treated with respect and that a fair deal is struck.  Also, turquoise stone is great to wear when choosing stocks or any kind of investment transaction.

Keep your turquoise jewelry near your bedside so that passion combines with love.

Ancient Turquoise meaning:

Ancient Egyptians incorporated real Turquoise into the saddles for horses and camels to give them strength and fortitude.

Turquoise healing properties:

Wearing real Turquoise jewelry and imbibing turquoise elixir is advised for humans to strengthen both the structural body and the immune system.  Perhaps this is because the body is better able to assimilate what's needed from one's diet.  Turquoise elixir is often administered to those with anorexia.

Turquoise stimulates tissue regeneration so wear following surgery, especially plastic surgery.  This may be because real turquoise (as opposed to dyed Howlite) gets blood flowing into muscle tissue.

Amethyst meaning:

The gemstone name Amethyst is derived from a Greek prefix, which is to negate something.  The prefix is just the letter "A" and so putting the a before another word negates what follows.  The rest of the name is from the Greek word methystos, which is about being intoxicated or drunk.  So the name Amethyst essential means that to wear this stone will negate or prevent intoxication or drunkenness.

Amethyst properties:

Great for issues concerning pituitary, thyroid, thymus, and pancreas.  Balances metabolism.  Dissolves fatty tissue.

Also recommended for left/right brain hemisphere imbalances, i.e., epilepsy, dyslexia, coordination.

Enhances intuition.  Activates heart and third eye chakras, but also helps with sleep.  Hold just before retiring.

Fantastic crystal.  Amethyst turns into Citrine (golden color) when exposed to heat or light, so keep your amethyst off your window sill to preserve its wonderful purple color.

Lotus flower meaning:

A lotus flower emerges from the muddy waters pure and beautiful, untouched by the murk of its environment.  Not even rain disturbs the lotus bud or blossoms.  Rain droplets bead up and roll off back into the pond.  Wearing a lotus blossom charm is an everyday reminder to practice spiritual detachment from all of the distractions of the noise and sensationalism in the world.  Every time you see your bracelet, you can easily remember to let others' negativity be like water off a duck's back.
