Natural Green Serpentine stone (known as Shamak-Sud) Tespeh. Tespeh (or Tasbeeh) are Islamic Prayer beads of 99 beads, each bead marking the repetition of a prayer. These beads are hand-carved and bead sizes, tassels and natural serpentine colors vary.
Serpentine stone is named after a serpent because Serpentine mineral's coloration is similar to that of a particular snake's skin in ancient Italy. Serpentine ranges in color from golds to dark greens. Many times it is confused with green jade.
