These hand-carved boxwood beads are inspired by Antique Japanese Ojime. Ojime are the sliding bead on the cord of the Inro Box. Geishas carried an Inro Box to hold their money and personal necessities. These Ojime beads are hand-carved by contemporary Chinese Master-Carvers (not children), who take up to four hours to make each one. They range in size from 3/4 to 1 inch. This is an unbelievable value for such craftsmanship.
